O gracious Creator, God of all goodness and love,
we lift up our Haitian brothers and sisters to You in prayer.
Our hearts go out to all those who suffer from want.
Grant them Your wisdom, strength and hope in the face of all that is occurring in their beautiful homeland.
God of mercy and justice, assist all those volunteers who have given so much time, energy and resources to our Haitian neighbors. Bless their efforts to help restore and improve their lives.
Bless the children of Haiti who seek a better world and a brighter future.
We pray this blessing in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior.

Today's Gospel
Gospel: John 6:60-69
Many of Jesus' followers were still disturbed by His teaching of the living bread, which they could not yet fully understand. Jesus explained that the Spirit gives life, and flesh is unimportant. Some of the disciples decided to leave. Jesus asked if the Twelve also wanted to leave. Although they do not completely understand yet, they have enough faith in Jesus to stay because they believe He is God's holy one.
A Day in the Life at POTS
Please join us on Tuesday, September 28th at 6 pm for an in-person
and close-up look at a typical day of programs and services at Part of
the Solution (POTS).
We are excited to present our 4th Annual Day in the Life event
in-person as operations continue to return to normal. The program is
presented by the dedicated POTS staff who kept working throughout the
pandemic to ensure that New Yorkers facing poverty would continue
receiving healthy food and other critical services— even as
unemployment skyrocketed and basic services became difficult to
access.

Res Youth Minister, Meg Rodriguez (above) volunteering at Helping Hands, Rye Inc. Mission Backpack event on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings this week. Over 2,000 backpacks were packed with 18 grade-appropriate school supplies and distributed to 19 different agencies and Churches to help the neediest Westchester children.
Thank you to our awesome volunteers! We could not do this without you.
Heavenly Father, please be with the students as they go where they do not know.
As a seed to grow in knowledge, we ask that they grow in faith.
As they start to conquer the world, we hope that they conquer their fears.
As they strive to find their place, we pray that they find You.
Please go where we cannot, protect when we cannot, give strength that we cannot, and bring them safely home.

Grade 3 to 5 session filled up
WHERE:
Resurrection AIR CONDITIONED Doty Gym
Come develop your basketball skills at camp this summer! All participants will learn the fundamentals of the game, skill, and character development in a fun and exciting way!
The camp will be directed by Coach Durkin.
The cost is $320 per camper

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
The Parish Religious Education Program is in need of catechists for the 2021-2022 school year. Sharing the Catholic Faith with the youth of our Parish is a rewarding and faith-affirming experience.
Classes are held on Sundays from 9:30 am -11:00 am, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 3:45 pm - 5:00 pm, and Tuesday evenings from 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm.

As we're wrestling with our questions through the study, we'll be challenged to open our hearts to the only One who can bring the healing and transformation we so desire.
