CARDINAL DOLAN VISIT
Last Saturday Cardinal Dolan visited Resurrection parish and celebrated the 5 PM mass to Thank our generous parishioners for their goodness in the successful 2021 Cardinals appeal.
Afterward, the Cardinal hosted a dinner reception in the Middle School Gym.
The Cardinal was most impressed with the spirit, the style, the spunk, and the Generosity of Resurrection Parishioners. Thank you to all donors.
You can still contribute, the deadline has been extended until October 18th.
The Church was filled with generous donors from our parish and all over Westchester County.

THE RESURRECTION SCHOOL NEWS
Jonathan Ellis, Resurrection Assistant Principal, is Running in the 125th Boston Marathon next week. An avid runner, Mr. Ellis has completed five marathons.
He finished the 2019 NYC Marathon with an impressive time of 2 hours and 53 minutes. He is proud to be running in his first Boston Marathon! He will be wearing a Resurrection logo! We admire Mr. Ellis’s drive, commitment, and desire to work hard – a good example for our students! Running with his wife, Ashley, the Resurrection School community wishes the Ellis’ the best of luck.

Resurrection Annual Outreach Collection
will be on October 9th-10th
On October 9thand 10th, please contribute to the annual Resurrection Outreach collection to support the poor, hungry, and needy in our local communities. The on-going impact of COVID and the recent flooding associated with Ida has dramatically increased the need in our area.
Resurrection Outreach has given nearly $1M to support the needy in our midst. Thank you for your continuing support of this vital cause!

Miles for CaritasPC/MOMS! (Meals on Main Street)
Please register online for CaritasPC/MOMS (Meals on Main Street) inaugural 1.5 Mile Port Chester Run,
Rain or Shine, on Sunday, October 17 at 8 am in
Port Chester.
All proceeds support meals for local hungry, Ida flood victims, and funding for a community-wide Thanksgiving Meal distribution.
Prizes, free delicious pizza, drinks, and music at The Colony Grill finish line. Fun!
Resurrection Read Aloud – Community Service
Read Aloud back in person at Don Bosco!
The Read Aloud program helps elementary school students in Port Chester develop an interest in reading. We are offering high school and middle school students in Westchester County the opportunity to be a reader, educator and community builder, which is a great opportunity for any 7th - 12th-grade students who need community service hours. Volunteers read the books supplied by the Resurrection Community Outreach Committee live to the children in grades K-3 at the Don Bosco Community Center in Port Chester, NY.
