TWO-YEAR-OLD PROGRAM

Applications are being accepted for the 2022-23 school year. We offer classes from 2 to 5 days a week. We are now offering a 12:30-2:30 pm class, and have limited space in the 8-10 am class. SYNOD ONLINE LISTENING SESSION MAY 4th

During Lent people around the Archdiocese of New York met to pray and provide input at Synod Listening sessions. Over 2000 people participated in these conversations Including 40 people from our parish.

Pope Francis “wants us to join him in praying, listening, discerning examining ourselves personally and the church community to see if we’re truly on the path Jesus has set for his beloved bride the mystical body of the church”

We are grateful to the 25 facilitators from our parish who led discussions at the April 5 Southern Westchester meeting.

There will be an online Listening session on Wednesday, May 4 from 6:30 PM to 8:45 PM via Zoom video conferencing platform. If you were not able to attend any of the Lenten Sessions, you are invited to attend on May 4th.

Your feedback is important. All are invited to pray, listen and dialogue about the future of the Catholic Church.

Today's Gospel:

Gospel: John 21:1-19

Jesus appeared to the disciples for the third time since his resurrection while they were fishing. They hadn't caught anything, and then Jesus advised them to cast their net from the other side of the boat.

When they did this, they caught a great number of fish. Jesus then asked Peter three times, "Do you love me?" When Peter said he did, Jesus asked him to tend and feed his sheep.

Golden Jubilee Wedding Mass

The Golden Jubilee Mass is for couples in the Archdiocese of New York celebrating 50 years of Marriage during 2022.

All those who wish to attend need to contact Julie to register at 914-967-0142.

Pews will be reserved for Golden Jubilee couples only. Up to four (4) additional family and friends will be accommodated in pews outside of the reserve section in general seating.

All Golden Jubilee couples will receive a commemorative certificate. Couples who are unable to attend Mass can request a certificate through the parish.

Registration will close on Monday, May 16, 2022.

Girl Scout Cookies

Girl Scouts from our parish will be selling Girl Scout Cookies after each mass on Saturday, April 30th, and Sunday, May 1st.

Please support the Girl Scouts of our parish.

This month’s Baptism Class will be held on Monday, May 23rd (Not May 30th, Memorial Day) 7:30 - 8:30 pm in the Lower Church Hall. Parents are required to attend this class.

MOTHER'S DAY DIAPER AND

BABY ITEMS COLLECTION

May is the month of Mary and this year we are celebrating the Blessed Mother Mary and all mothers by reaching out to young mothers in need.

For two weekends, This Sunday, May 1st, Saturday, May 7th, and Sunday, May 8th Mother’s Day weekend, the Outreach Committee will be collecting boxes of diapers, baby wipes, new baby clothes/blankets, etc. in St. Joseph’s side altar at the front right of the church.

These much-needed items will be distributed to families through our sister parish Holy Rosary, and Good Counsel Daystar home.

Please donate diapers of all sizes, baby wipes, and new layette items for these young mothers. Share the joy of Motherhood and thank you for your continued generosity and support.

PREP Registration for 2022/23 IS OPEN

Please see our website www.ryeprep.org for more information on class days/times and fee schedules. Places in each class are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Those who complete the registration process first will have the widest choice of days and times.

Our volunteer catechists and co-catechists are the heart and soul of our program. Please consider sharing your faith with the youth of our Parish. Tuition discounts apply.

In addition, if you are aware of parishioners that have children entering Grade 1 next year and who currently do not have children attending the PREP program, please let them know that registration will be opening next week.
