Applications are being accepted for the 2022-23 school year. We offer classes from 2 to 5 days a week. We are now offering a 12:30-2:30 pm class, and have limited space in the 8-10 am class. Last Saturday, May 7th there were two beautiful Masses for about 90 children from Resurrection School and Resurrection PREP who received our Lord in Holy Communion for the first time. Congratulations to children, teachers, parents, and families!

HOLY COMMUNION
The Communion Certificate Mass will be held on Sunday, May 22nd at the 10 am Mass.
On May 6, the Eighth Grade from Resurrection school conducted a MIDNIGHT RUN offering warm food and warm clothes, and a friendly spirit to the homeless on the streets of New York City, Thank you to parishioners for supporting this worthwhile undertaking
Thanks to all the teens who helped to make over 400 sandwiches for the midnight Run and Don Bosco Community Center. Special thanks to RES 8th grade and their parents for braving the rain on Friday 5/6 to go out at night to serve the homeless in NYC. Thanks to Caritas for the Chicken Cutlet donation.

After Judas left the last supper, Jesus warned the other disciples that he would not be with them much longer.
Jesus gave them a new commandment to love one another as he had loved them. He stated that their love for each other would distinguish them as his disciples.
BAPTISM CLASS
This month’s Baptism Class will be held on Monday, May 23rd (Not May 30th, Memorial Day) 7:30 - 8:30 pm in the Meeting Room in the PREP Building. (please note new location) Parents are required to attend this class.
PREP Registration for 2022/23 IS OPEN
Please see our website www.ryeprep.org for more information on class days/times and fee schedules. Places in each class are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Those who complete the registration process first will have the widest choice of days and times.
Our volunteer catechists and co-catechists are the heart and soul of our program. Please consider sharing your faith with the youth of our Parish. Tuition discounts apply.
In addition, if you are aware of parishioners that have children entering Grade 1 next year and who currently do not have children attending the PREP program, please let them know that registration will be opening next week.
CONFIRMATION NEWS
Confirmation will take place on Sunday, June 5th at 12:30 pm and at 3 pm. This 12:30 Mass is CLOSED to parishioners. Keep in mind it will last 75 minutes and seating will be limited.

June 12th at 10 am Mass
The Bible Book Club will meet Thursday, May 26th, to discuss “Paul: His Story” by Jerome Murphy-O'Connor Oxford University Press USA 2005.
We will meet in the Resurrection Chapel formerly the Methodist Church. Please choose the morning session at 9:30 AM or the evening session at 7:30 PM.
The informal book discussion will last about an hour.
COLLEGE-AGED MEN’S SUMMER 2022
BASKETBALL LEAGUE
Resurrection is once again hosting a College-Aged Men’s Summer Basketball League in our air-conditioned Doty gym. We anticipate having 4-6 teams, 10-minute quarters, a 9-game season. College-certified refs will officiate.
Players will be divided into teams based on size and ability. Players entering freshman year of college through age 24 are eligible, high school students are NOT eligible. There will be a high school boys' summer league announcement coming soon.
DETAILS:
For men, age 18 to 24, who have completed High School by June 2022.
Games on Wednesday evenings
June 15th-August 10th at 8 pm or 9 pm
The cost is $100 and includes a team jersey.
