Fr. Romane St. Vil will be at Resurrection Parish next weekend for the annual missionary cooperative appeal and collection for the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers. Fr. Romane St. Vil will speak at all of the masses. Fr. Romane St. Vil has served as a missionary in Cambodia and Tanzania, and will invite us to take part in the vital work of bringing Christ and his gospel to all the people.
While at the parish Fr. Romane St. Vil will be happy to talk with any parishioners were interested in doing overseas missionary work.

ALTAR SERVER TRAINING
Boys and girls in Grade 4 and up, who are interested in becoming an altar servers are invited to attend the following training sessions.
July 26th @ 3:00 pm,
July 29th @ 1:30 pm,
July 30th, @ 2:00 pm.
Children need to attend at LEAST 3 sessions, however, it's better if they attend 4. There will be more sessions available in August. Please stay tuned for the August dates.
If your child would like to attend a training session please RSVP with your name, your child's name, a phone number, and email address as well as which session(s) they will be attending. RSVP to Joe Viserta, our Director of Liturgy and Music at jviserta@resmusic.org.
Having a Mass said for a loved one at Resurrection Church is a noble and ideal way to honor a deceased person. There is a beautiful tradition in the Catholic Church of offering Mass for the soul of a family member or friend. The name of the deceased is announced by the priest and published in our Sunday bulletin.
The 2023 Mass Intentions Book at Resurrection IS OPEN. There will be a limit of seven masses per family and two names per Mass.
The weekday Mass offering is $20.00 per Mass and the weekend Masses offering is $25.00 per Mass.
We will be using a new online system that will allow you to view and select available Mass times and make the offering payment by credit card.
PREP Registration for 2022/23 IS OPEN
Please see our website www.ryeprep.org for more information on class days/times and fee schedules. Places in each class are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Those who complete the registration process first will have the widest choice of days and times.
Our volunteer catechists and co-catechists are the heart and soul of our program. Please consider sharing your faith with the youth of our Parish. Tuition discounts apply.
In addition, if you are aware of parishioners that have children entering Grade 1 next year and who currently do not have children attending the PREP program, please let them know that registration will be opening next week.

There is an opening for a Secretary/Administrative Assistant at Saint Joseph Seminary in Yonkers. Superb computer skills and secretarial skills are needed.

CATECHISTS NEEDED FOR CLASSES 2022-23
The Parish Religious Education Program is looking for catechists for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year. Being a catechist is a rewarding faith enriching experience. Please consider joining our team! Classes are once a week, beginning in September, and run until mid-May. Please contact Mary Humphrey at mhumphrey@respreprye.org if you are interested and would like more information.

RESURRECTION BASKETBALL CAMP
Open to all 3rd through 8th-grade boys and girls.

Come develop your basketball skills at camp this summer! All participants will learn the fundamentals of the game, skill development, and character development in a fun and exciting way!
The camp will include coaching by Marty Durkin, stations for each age group focusing on basketball-specific skills, and competitions where participants can practice these skills in an enjoyable and exhilarating fashion!
$320.00 for the week, two siblings will be $600.00.

CHURCH AIR CONDITIONING
The “good old summertime” has arrived. During the summer months, the Church air conditioning will be on most days.
- The Church AC is uneven. Some areas of the Church are cooler than other areas. The front few pews on the right side and parts of Our Lady Chapel and rear of the Church are cooler.
- We recommend that parishioners bring a light jacket or sweater if you feel it is too cool in Church.
- If the AC bothers you, we recommend sitting in the middle of the Church where it is not so cool.
- We try to accommodate our people. Some complain that it’s too cool and some complain it’s too warm. We try to be reasonable and sensible. We apologize if you feel uncomfortable.
