We have discontinued live streaming of the 11:15 am Mass because of a decline in actual live viewers. Coincidently, the number of viewers who watch the recorded 5 pm and 10 am Masses is up.
The recorded Masses can be watched anytime. So, if you miss Mass at Resurrection and you'd like to listen to the homily, the 5 pm and 10 am Masses are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day for 3 months. Thank you for your understanding.

Many thanks to Philomena Cheeco for her service to Resurrection Church for many years. She has been laundering altar cloths, purificators and recently cleaning candles.
We are deeply grateful for her hard work and dedication to our parish.
We are very happy to announce a new musical group being formed here at Resurrection. It is our sincere hope to recruit enough people to start a handbell choir. We have the bells, we just need the ringers.
This past winter and spring the school started a handbell choir and the children did an outstanding job and learned so much in such a short time. I am sure many of you have never heard of a handbell choir and have no idea what this is even about.
Please take a look at the video below. There will be a few different videos to give you an idea of what can be done with handbells over the next few weeks, so keep an out for them in the bulletin.
You do not need ANY experience to ring a handbell. You do NOT have to be able to read music. You can walk into this without knowing ANYTHING about music whatsoever. The only thing you need is to be able to attend a weekly rehearsal and be prepared to have FUN! Stay tuned for more information!

Opening Your Heart explores the fundamental questions of our Catholic faith and our relationship with Jesus Christ. We'll dig into topics like prayer, reading the Bible, the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives, and what we're supposed to do with suffering that feels senseless. As we're wrestling with our questions through the study, we'll be challenged to open our hearts to the only One who can bring the healing and transformation we so desire.
Classes will begin in the fall on either Tuesday mornings or Wednesday evenings.

Gospel: Luke 14:1, 7-14
Jesus went to share a meal with one of the leading Pharisees when he noticed other guests competing for places of honor at the table. He warned that a guest who takes the place of honor may be asked to move to the lowest place. Yet a guest who takes the lowest place is honored when a better position is offered by their host. He then added, "He who humbles himself will be exalted."
FALL IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER AND THE MUSIC MINISTRY NEEDS YOU!
Do you enjoy singing? Are you looking for a group to join and become a part of at Resurrection? Have you ever wished you could take singing lessons? Did you sing in a high school or college choir years ago? IF YOU ANSWERED YES, (or even a partial yes) to any of the above then the music ministry at RES is the place for you this fall!
I am looking for singers of all ages. We especially need men, both Tenors, and Basses. Don't sing? Well don't worry, I am looking for instrumentalists too! Does someone in your family play the violin, flute, guitar, oboe, drums, or Clarinet? We have a place for them too!
There is a possibility if we get the interest and commitment from enough who are interested, that we may be starting an adult handbell choir as well! What's that? You don't know what a handbell choir is? Stay tuned for more information on the possibility of this fun and exciting group!
Over the next few months, please take the time to think and pray about how you can share your time and talent with the music ministry this fall!
PREP Registration for 2022/23 IS OPEN
Please see our website www.ryeprep.org for more information on class days/times and fee schedules. Places in each class are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Those who complete the registration process first will have the widest choice of days and times.
Our volunteer catechists and co-catechists are the heart and soul of our program. Please consider sharing your faith with the youth of our Parish. Tuition discounts apply.
In addition, if you are aware of parishioners that have children entering Grade 1 next year and who currently do not have children attending the PREP program, please let them know that registration will be opening next week.
We extend our best wishes and prayers to young people from our parish preparing to return to college this week.

CATECHISTS NEEDED FOR CLASSES 2022-23
The Parish Religious Education Program is looking for catechists for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year. Being a catechist is a rewarding faith enriching experience. Please consider joining our team! Classes are once a week, beginning in September, and run until mid-May.

CHURCH AIR CONDITIONING
The “good old summertime” has arrived. During the summer months, the Church air conditioning will be on most days.
- The Church AC is uneven. Some areas of the Church are cooler than other areas. The front few pews on the right side and parts of Our Lady Chapel and rear of the Church are cooler.
- We recommend that parishioners bring a light jacket or sweater if you feel it is too cool in Church.
- If the AC bothers you, we recommend sitting in the middle of the Church where it is not so cool.
- We try to accommodate our people. Some complain that it’s too cool and some complain it’s too warm. We try to be reasonable and sensible. We apologize if you feel uncomfortable.
