3. THE MANDATE TO WEAR MASKS IN CHURCH IS LIFTED.

4. The Live Streaming Masses will be on Saturday at 5 pm and Sunday at 10:00 am.

The recorded Masses can be watched anytime. So, if you miss Mass at Resurrection and you'd like to listen to the homily, the 5 pm and 10 am Masses are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day for 3 months. Thank you for your understanding.

2022 CARDINALS APPEAL ENDS NOVEMBER 1st

The results of the 2022 Cardinals appeal in our parish are impressive. We have already exceeded our goal.

Thank you to all of our generous parishioners who have already participated. However, there are a number of people who have not gotten around to it yet and we politely ask you to consider prayerfully a donation to this life-giving appeal before November 1st.

For the 10th straight year, our parish has come in first in donations. God bless you.

SECOND COLLECTION THIS WEEKEND

COMMUNION STATIONS IN FRONT OF CHURCH

We have moved the Communion Stations from the rear of the center aisle to the FRONT of the Church.

During the pandemic, we distributed Holy Communion at the rear doors of the Church so that people could exit if they wanted-from mass easily.

A priest or Eucharistic Minister will be at the head of the center aisle.

There will also be a Priest or Eucharistic Minister on the right and left sides.

We also will re-institute distributing Holy Communion in Our Lady Chapel. Holy Communion is distributed on the HAND ONLY.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The Resurrection Two-Year-Old program will begin accepting applications for the 2023-2024 School year on Nov 1, 2022. Acceptance priority will be given to families with children enrolled in the Resurrection Twos Program or Grammar School, or who are current parishioners of Resurrection Church.

Applications must be received BEFORE Dec 1, 2022 to receive priority acceptance.

OCTOBER BAPTISMAL CLASS

Please note that The Baptismal Class for October will be held THIS Monday, October 24th.

ALL SAINTS NOVEMBER 1^st

All Saints Day is Tuesday, November 1^st. Masses are Monday, October 31^st at 5 pm and Tuesday, November 1^st at 8 am, 9 am, and 4 pm (Note: new schedule.)

ALL SOULS NOVEMBER 2^nd

Wednesday, November 2^nd is the feast of All Souls. Mass is at 8 am.

Our parish will offer a Novena of Masses for the names submitted and souls in purgatory during November.

Please submit the All Souls envelope with the names of loved ones in the Sunday Collection basket or to the Rectory. Suggested offering $25.

CaritasPC/Meals on Main Street (MOMS) sincerely thanks all who participated and supported our 2nd Annual Fun Run last Sunday in Port Chester. All monies raised will be used to provide food for needy working poor families in Port Chester and surrounding areas through the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday period. Thank you, Resurrection! ❤️

The POTS committee is looking for a team of several high schoolers to bring down the Thanksgiving donations from the church lobby to the supply closet in the lower church hall from November 1st until November 24th.

UKRAINIAN PEACE FLAG

We are praying for a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine. We put up a Ukrainian peace flag Temporarily in the church to remember our brothers and sisters there who were killed or hurt since February.

We will return The Papal flag when the war is over. May God bless the good people of Ukraine

Today's Gospel

Gospel: Luke 18:9-14

Jesus tells a parable about a Pharisee who went to the temple and offered up a prayer of thanks because he was not a sinner like the tax collector who was also there to pray. The tax collector was far more humble, acknowledging his sins, and asking forgiveness for them. Jesus said the tax collector's prayer would be heard because, "Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, while he who humbles himself will be exalted."
