The recorded Masses can be watched anytime. So, if you miss Mass at Resurrection and you'd like to listen to the homily, the 5 pm, and 10 am Masses are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day for 3 months.
EMERGENCY SECOND COLLECTION TODAY
At masses this weekend there will be a Special Emergency Second Collection on behalf of our brothers and sisters in Turkey and Syria where they were rocked by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake on February 6th.
Well over 41,000 people have been killed and tens of thousands of people have been hurt!
Approximately 9 million people, including many children, have been adversely affected by this huge once-in-a-lifetime catastrophe.
Please be generous in this Emergency Second collection. Thank you most sincerely for your anticipated generosity.
You may also drop your donation in next week's collection. Please mark a plain envelope “Earthquake.”
UPDATE ON SR. DANIELLE
We received a phone call from Sister Danielle Saturday morning informing us that she had been released from St. Peter’s Hospital and is home recuperating nicely. She received a good report from her doctors. We are so pleased that our prayers are answered. She is most grateful for the prayers and best wishes of her friends in Resurrection.
SCHEDULE FOR ASH WEDNESDAY
Ash Wednesday is February 22nd, which is the beginning of the Lenten Season.
Masses on Ash Wednesday are as follows:
8 am and 9 am.
Services/Distribution of Ashes:

Registration for Spring League is now open!
RES CYO will participate in the WPCYO 2023 Spring League for grades 3 through 8. This League is open to the entire community, so please tell friends and neighbors. Non-parishioners are welcome! The 3rd grade is in house 4th-8th grade are travel. Teams practice once a week and play nine to ten-weekend games against teams from Westchester and the Bronx. The program will run from March 25 to June 11.
Resurrection will hold tryouts/assessments for the travel teams, dates TBD.
There will be a day of recollection on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Saint Joseph Seminary, Yonkers from 9:30 AM to 2 PM, Lunch is included. Bishop Edmund Whelan is the speaker. Tickets are $40 per person

LIFE CHAIN
A Prayerful, Peaceful Presence for Mothers and Babies on TODAY SUNDAY, February 19th, 2023 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Kohls Plaza, Port Chester
Part of the Solution, or P.O.T.S., is looking for volunteers to help with food service and prep in their Community cafe in the Bronx. They are particularly short on volunteers during the work week. If you are interested in helping out, please email DGruenwald@potsbronx.org.
Today's Gospel:
Matthew 5:38-48
In this part of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus exhorts his followers to do an extraordinary thing — to love their enemies and to pray for their oppressors. He reminds them that there is nothing laudatory in loving those who love them for even the “pagans” do this. He urges them to “turn the other cheek” and to “walk the extra mile.”
PRE-CANA CONFERENCE “Three to get married”
Couples celebrating a marriage in the Catholic Church are required to attend a PreCana marriage preparation program.
As couples plan for their marriage they are invited to take some time for themselves to plan.
This program draws upon the best in contemporary psychology, practical wisdom from married couples, and the beauty of the church’s teaching on marriage and family life to offer a solid foundation for marriage.
There will be a Pre-Cana program on Saturday, March 11th and Sunday, 12th at 815 Boston Post Rd., Rye for any couple who wants to fulfill this requirement.
CONGRATULATIONS
We are so proud of Alberta and Manuel Boccini In honor of the 65 years of marriage in 2023. They are one of the longest-married couples in the Archdiocese of New York. They are long-time Resurrection parishioners. This recognition was awarded on February 12th, World Marriage Day, by Cardinal Dolan.
May God bless them for their holy example to the sacrament of marriage.
