Our Parish will host the renowned French children’s choir “Choeur d'Enfants d'Île De France” from Friday, July 21st through Monday, July 24th. This famous children’s choir is known for its vocal color, round and powerful, the level of its repertoire, and the quality of its performance. There are 36 boys and girls in the choir who will be touring Canada, Boston, Connecticut, and New York this summer. The renowned Francis Bardot is the choir director.
There will be a 75-minute concert in our parish on Friday, July 21st at 6 pm (more information to follow).
We are looking for 18 Resurrection families to host two of these choir members for 3 nights, Friday, July 21st, 7 pm through Monday, July 24th, 9 am. Host families should provide lodging, meals and supervision during the visit. The choir will be practicing and attending day trips in the New York area during most of the day. Host family responsibilities include:
- 7/21 - 4 pm choir arrives at Resurrection; 6 pm opening concert in the church; after concert dinner with host family at modest restaurant is recommended.
- 7/22 & 7/23 - breakfast followed by a drop off at Resurrection by 9 am then a pick up at Resurrection at 6 pm, followed by dinner provided by the host family.
- Breakfast on 7/24 followed by a drop off at Resurrection by 9 am.
The ability to speak French is a plus, but not necessary. One of the charisms of the choir is to stay for a few nights in an American home. If you would like to host 2 choir members (ages 9-14; boys or girls) please call or email the Rectory, 914-967-0142 or

There will be a Parish Barbeque on the field from 12:30-2:30pm on July 23rd. All are welcome.
This will be an enriching and rewarding weekend for the host families and our parish family.
