The recorded Masses can be watched anytime. For example, if you miss Mass at Resurrection and you'd like to listen to the homily, the 5 pm, and 10 am Masses are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day for 3 months.
WORLD YOUTH DAY
My experience at World Youth Day is one filled with an abundance of graces. Taking part in this pilgrimage allowed for me to feel the presence of God in ways I had never experienced. In the peace and beauty of the apparition sites and shrines in Fatima, the elegance and intricacies of the magnificent churches and cathedrals spread throughout Portugal, or simply in the joy of my fellow 1.5 million pilgrims all singing, chanting and eagerly waiting for a glimpse of Pope Francis (even if that quick glimpse came from a screen). One of the most amazing parts about World Youth Day is that you begin to understand what is meant by the title “the universal church”. As a 16-year-old, my understanding of the extent of the church is sometimes limited to simply what I see or experience regularly, so basically Westchester County. The people I met and spoke to, or even just the flags I saw around people’s backs, helped me to see that the Catholic Church is prevalent in every country in the world. There are Catholics everywhere. This understanding helped me realize that there aren’t just 1.3 billion other people in the world but rather 1.3 billion people that share my faith. I often look at that number and see it as just that, a number. This pilgrimage helped me put faces to that number and remind me that I am not alone in my faith. A reminder that someone on the opposite side of the world believes as we do. That is possibly the greatest grace of the entire pilgrimage. To understand that the extent of the universal church is so great that millions of people from entirely different cultures and nations will all come together in one place to celebrate our shared faith and to praise God together as one loving Church.

Helping Hands, Rye sincerely thanks all our great volunteers that filled and distributed 2,000 backpacks for Westchester’s neediest children on Wednesday and Thursday this past week.
Thanks to Meg Rodriguez, our who organized 51 teen volunteers chaperoned by Mary Catherine Dodman, Sharon Kaseta, and ToniAnne Rigano.

The 2024 Mass Intentions Book at Resurrection is open for requests. There are about 3 dozen masses left. There will be a limit of seven masses per family and two names per Mass.
The weekday Mass offering is $20.00 per Mass and the weekend Masses offering is $25.00 per Mass.
We will be using a new online system that will allow you to view and select available Mass times and make the offering payment by credit card.

Opening Your Heart explores the fundamental questions of our Catholic faith and our relationship with Jesus Christ. We'll dig into such topics as prayer, conquering our fears, and what we're supposed to do with suffering that feels senseless. As we're wrestling with our questions through the study, we'll be challenged to open our hearts to the only One who can bring the healing and transformation we so desire.
Classes will begin in the fall on either Tuesday mornings or Wednesday evenings.
