LABOR DAY PRAYER
On this weekend, when we rest from our usual labors, loving Father, we pray for all who shoulder the tasks of human labor, in the marketplace, in factories and offices, in the professions, and in family living.
We thank you, Lord, for the gift and opportunity of work; may our efforts always be pure of heart, for the good of others and the glory of your name.
We lift up to you all who long for just employment and those who work to defend the rights and needs of workers everywhere.
Amen.

The recorded Masses can be watched anytime. For example, if you miss Mass at Resurrection and you'd like to listen to the homily, the 5 pm, and 10 am Masses are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day for 3 months.

NEW SCHOOL YEAR
Gracious and loving God, we ask you to send your Holy Spirit upon our parish at the beginning of a new school year to fill us with love.
Make us instruments of your love to everyone that we encounter at home, at work, in our neighborhoods, and in our parish community.
Work through us so that we can bring your truth to those who are searching for you.
Help us to grow in gratitude so that we can recognize and thank you for all the good things you have given us.
Instill in us a deep sense of generosity so that we are willing to share our gifts, our talents, our time, and our financial recourses.
Deepen our desire to follow your will and to do all things for your honor and glory,
We ask this through Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior.
Amen.

Opening Your Heart explores the fundamental questions of our Catholic faith and our relationship with Jesus Christ. We'll dig into such topics as prayer, conquering our fears, and what we're supposed to do with suffering that feels senseless. As we're wrestling with our questions through the study, we'll be challenged to open our hearts to the only One who can bring the healing and transformation we so desire.
Classes will begin in the fall on either Tuesday mornings or Wednesday evenings.

The 2024 Mass Intentions Book at Resurrection is open for requests. There are about 3 dozen masses left. There will be a limit of seven masses per family and two names per Mass.
The weekday Mass offering is $20.00 per Mass and the weekend Masses offering is $25.00 per Mass.
We will be using a new online system that will allow you to view and select available Mass times and make the offering payment by credit card.

Jesus tries to make his disciples realize that by following him, they will endure suffering, degradation, and death. He tells them that they must deny themselves and take up the cross in order to be his disciples.
