The recorded Masses can be watched anytime. For example, if you miss Mass at Resurrection and want to listen to the Homily, the 5 pm, and 10 am Masses are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day for 3 months.
SECOND COLLECTION TODAY
Outgoing Westchester county executive, George Latimer, now congressman-elect and Resurrection parishioner attended the Rye interfaith Thanksgiving prayer service last Sunday at Resurrection.
About 200 people attended. Many watched on live streaming. Thanks to MaryBeth Ketchum, Susan Romeo, Meg, Rodriguez, and Fr. Will Mendoza, for promoting this long, standing Rye tradition.

On November 24th, we had the annual CYO opening mass at Resurrection. We have 300 players in CYO basketball. The guest speaker was Teagan Flaherty, an outstanding student–athlete who attended Resurrection CCD, Rye High School, and Georgetown University, where she earned a 3.89 GPA.
Teagan played here for several years in elementary school CYO. She also scored 1300 points at Rye High School. She was a Division One starting player at Georgetown University in Washington DC. She gave a heartfelt and powerful presentation dedicated to her mother Tiffany Flaherty, who passed away in June from cancer. Tiffany was her elementary school basketball coach. Doug, her father and brother Michael also attended.
Tiffany was smiling from heaven.
50th & 25th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Our parish will host a Mass on Sunday, December 15th, at 11:15 a.m. for couples who celebrated their 50th and 25th Wedding Anniversary in 2024.
Any couple celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary (1974) or 25th Wedding Anniversary (1999) in 2024 is most welcome. There will be a renewal of vows and a special Blessing during Mass.
Jubilarian couples are asked to register at 967-0142 by December 10th.
CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING
Please join us for the Annual Lighting of the Resurrection Christmas Trees on Saturday, December 7th, following the 5:00 p.m. Mass.
There will be a Christmas sing-along and a special visitor from the North Pole.
All are welcome, especially young families!

Your unwavering commitment to this event has truly made a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Over the past few weeks, you have graciously donated an abundance of both perishable and non-perishable food items and generously volunteered your time to prepare and serve meals to those in need. Your kindness and dedication have allowed us to provide warm, nutritious meals to hundreds of individuals and families, bringing a sense of comfort and hope to their lives.

The adult choir would like to invite anyone who may be interested in singing with us for the 6:00 PM Christmas Eve Mass. Christmas rehearsals begin on November 21st at 7:00 PM in the Choir room located on the 1st floor of the PREP building.
This is the perfect opportunity for anyone who would like to sing in the choir but can’t make the yearly commitment. Maybe you've wanted to join the choir but just want to try it out to see if you like it. If that's you, join for Christmas!

RYE MISTLETOE MAGIC
The Annual Rye Family festival on Purchase Street will be held on TODAY Sunday, December 1st, from 12 noon to 3 pm. There will be horse-drawn carriages, trains, Christmas Crafts, music, food, and fun.
TODAYS GOSPEL
Luke 21:25-28, 34-36
Jesus warns his followers to be prepared for the end of the world. He reminds them not to be preoccupied with unimportant events, or they will be caught unaware rather than being on watch as they should.
One of the most famous Advent traditions is the Advent wreath. There is much rich symbolism to be found in this beautiful tradition.
The Advent candles remind us that Jesus is the light of the world. Each Sunday of Advent we light another candle as we get closer and closer to Christmas - the moment Jesus brought light into our darkness.
Three of these candles are purple and one is pink (or rose). The dark purple also reminds us of darkness and marks a time for prayer and waiting. The pink candle is lit on the third Sunday of Advent which is called Gaudete Sunday, meaning ‘Rejoice’ for the time of Christmas is near.
The circular shape of the wreath reminds us of our God, who has no beginning or end, as well as His endless love for us. The evergreen leaves that make up the wreath remind us that God gives us the gift of everlasting life through Jesus.
