The recorded Masses can be viewed at any time. For example, if you miss Mass at Resurrection and want to listen to the Homily, the 5 pm and 10 am Masses are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day for 3 months.

The Book Fair is finally here!
Join us after mass TODAY for our annual Scholastic book fair located just across the parking lot in the grammar school lower gym.
We have books for all ages. It is always a fun, family event and all are welcome to shop the fabulous assortment.
It's a wonderful way to spend time after Mass. Coffee and donuts will be served. And please know that a portion of all sales will go back to benefit the school.
We hope to see you after Mass!
Our Parish music ministry will begin rehearsals the week of September 29th. We are in great need of volunteer choir members this year, more so than ever before. I encourage you to please consider and pray about joining this ministry.
While we often feel we have reasons for not being able to commit, I ask you to truly reflect on whether that is the case. Perhaps joining our ministry is exactly what you need. It has been proven that singing in a choir or ringing in a handbell choir can reduce stress. Many of our current members look forward to choir nights as an opportunity to gather, laugh, have fun, and praise our Almighty God with the beautiful gift of music.
I personally guarantee that you will enjoy our musical groups, whether you choose to join the adult choir or the handbell choir or your child joins the children's choir you will leave every rehearsal or performance with a sense of accomplishment, pride, camaraderie, and spiritual satisfaction

ADULT CHOIR: First Rehearsal will take place on Thursday, October 2 at 7 PM in the choir room located on the second floor of the prep building.
The group sings on Sunday mornings at the 10 am Liturgy. Prior to Mass there is a warm-up and quick rehearsal at 9 am
Handbell choir: The first handbell rehearsal is on Wednesday, October 1 at 6:30 pm in the Middle school music room located on the lower level of the middle school just off the cafeteria. The handbell choir plays at various liturgies throughout the year but the main ones being Christmas Eve, Easter Sunday, lessons and carols service, and a Sunday in Advent and Lent.
Children’s choir: The children’s choir sings every other Sunday at the 8:45 am Sunday Mass. Rehearsals are held every Thursday from 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm in the grammar school music room. This group is open to children in Grades 2-8. Younger singers are welcome but they need to be strong readers and have a good attention span.

POTS Thanksgiving Meal Location Change
Dear Parish Family,
For decades, Resurrection Church in Rye has partnered with POTS (Part of the Solution) to provide a Thanksgiving meal for our neighbors in need. This cherished tradition has impacted countless lives and continues to reflect the parish’s deep commitment to service, community, and gratitude.
This year, we are excited to announce that the POTS Thanksgiving Meal will take place at St. Philip Neri School on the Grand Concourse (between 202nd and 203rd Streets). The new site is only a five-minute walk from the previous location, ensuring that our neighbors and volunteers will still be able to come together to serve.
While the location is changing, the heart of the tradition remains the same: Resurrection parishioners and Bronx neighbors will unite to share joy, hospitality, and thanksgiving as one family. We are grateful to St. Philip Neri School for welcoming us as a partner, and we are working closely with them to ensure a smooth transition.
An electronic sign-up for volunteers and food donations will be available in early October. Please keep an eye out for more details on how you can contribute to making this year’s Thanksgiving meal a success.

FAREWELL TO MEG RODRIGUEZ
We bid a fond farewell to Meg Rodriguez, who has been our pastoral associate for the last four years at Resurrection succeeding, our beloved Sr. Danielle. She is a woman of many talents. Meg has been involved in many different activities at Resurrection.
Meg and her husband, Jerry have taken new positions in Tampa Florida, near family. Her husband Jerry, has accepted the position of vice president of development at Tampa Catholic High School, and Meg has accepted the position of a pastoral associate at the local Catholic Salesian Parish in Tampa.
Jerry has been the Executive Director at Don Bosco Community Center Portchester since 2021.
A staff luncheon to honor Meg was held on Friday.
We wish Meg and her husband Jerry, and family God‘s choicest blessings in their new positions in Florida. This fine family will be sorely missed.
OCTOBER 5TH ~ ST FRANCIS OF ASSISI
The Blessing of Animals will be held on Sunday, October 5th, at 2 pm in the front of the Church.
TODAY'S GOSPEL
Luke 16:19-31
Jesus tells of a rich man who feasted daily, while a beggar named Lazarus went hungry outside his gates. When both men died, Lazarus was taken to Abraham, but the rich man was in torment. When he begged for mercy, Abraham reminded him that Lazarus had lived in torment, while the rich man lived in selfish luxury.
The man then asked if Lazarus could be sent to his brothers to warn them. But Abraham said if they had not heeded Moses or the prophets, they would ignore even the warning of one risen from the dead.
