The recorded Masses can be viewed at any time. For example, if you miss Mass at Resurrection and want to listen to the Homily, the 5 pm and 10 am Masses are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day for 3 months.
SPECIAL COLLECTION THIS WEEKEND
JANUARY 3rd - 4th
There will be a special second collection THIS WEEKEND for the Fiver Children's Foundation, which supports young people from New York with summer camp and other year-round activities.
Start the New Year 2026 on the right foot and help support this noble and worthwhile organization. Extra white FIVER envelopes are available in the pews today. PLEASE BE GENEROUS IN TODAY’S SECOND COLLECTION. There are some complaints about youth today; here is an opportunity to do something about it.

CHURCH WALKWAYS
For the past few weeks, the north walkway outside the church has been repaired and replaced. We have replaced the pathway with original Blackstone tiles.
The northside walkway has been completed. Over the next few weeks we will work on the south side walkway next to the Rectory.
Thank you for your patience as we continue to beautify the 9 acres of Resurrection.
This project was underwritten through the generosity of a donation from Dave and Trish Muccia and family, who are longtime parishioners. We are extremely grateful to them for their generosity.
The name of the contractor is Westchester Paving and Masonry Co. Virgilio Premoli Proprietor.
The next project will be an upgrade of the handicap ramp.
POLAR PLUNGE JANUARY 1
About 200 braaave residents of Rye and Resurrection Parishioners participated in the Annual Polar Plunge fundraiser at Oakland Town Beach on Thursday, January 1, 2026 at high noon.
The outside temperature was 26° and the water temperature was 43°
Our deepest thanks to the organizers, participants, families, and friends.
The Outreach committee of Resurrection will receive approximately $3000 donation from this very worthy fundraiser.
Charlie Howard,21, Frosty the Snowman, is the commissioner of the Resurrection Summer Basketball League. He is a senior at NC State.

On Wednesday, January 7th the acclaimed Catholic author and speaker, Laura Phelps, will be giving the following talk at Resurrection.
The talk will begin at 7:00 pm in the Church and there will be a reception following at 8:00 pm in the Lower Church Hall.
All are welcome! (Men included!).
Laura is relatable, honest, and often hilarious. You don't want to miss it!

Living Differently & Changing the World
The world desperately needs women grounded in hope. With despair levels rising, we need more than mindfulness or positive affirmations. We need a lifeline we can count on. Jesus is that lifeline–He is our hope. And when we hold on to Him, we live differently, and everything changes.
The Don Bosco Community Center would like to sincerely thank you and Resurrection Church for your generous support in providing toys for our Breakfast with Santa event.
Because of your help, we were able to create a joyful and welcoming experience for our community. Together, we fed over 800 people and brought smiles to many children as they received the gifts contributed by Resurrection Church, making their holiday celebration even more special.
Thank you for being part of an event that brought warmth, happiness, and holiday spirit to so many families. Your kindness and willingness to give back made a meaningful difference.
We wish you and Resurrection Church a very Happy New Year and look forward to another wonderful year ahead.

There will be a Memorial Mass on Sunday, January 11, 2025, at 11:15 am for those who died during the year 2025 and were buried from Resurrection.
The names of the deceased will be read off and there will be a candlelight ceremony. Join us as we remember deceased parishioners in January (Sorry we cannot add names.)

Today's Gospel
Matthew 2:1-12
Herod learns that Wise Men from the East are searching for the newly born Christ Child. He instructs them to find the Child and to report His whereabouts to him. The Wise Men follow a star to the place where Mary and Jesus are and offer the Child gold, frankincense, and myrrh. They do not return to Herod but follow another route to their own country.
