"Men Need a Band of Brothers"
 

Our next meeting of the Church of the Resurrection men’s fellowship group, a community for men of all ages, dedicated to building friendships and offering mutual support through prayer, conversation, and shared experiences, will take place on Thursday, March 19, from 8:00-9:00 PM in the Lower Church Hall.

Please take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to celebrate the Sacrament of Penance during Holy Week.

Stations of the Cross will be conducted on Fridays of Lent at 7 pm in the Church.

HELP CATHOLICS COME HOME
            

Do you know someone who was baptized Catholic but has stopped attending Mass, is questioning the faith, or hasn’t found a parish home? Why not help your friend to come home? Perhaps you can act as a resource or offer to attend Mass together.  If you aren’t sure how to help, ask our priests for advice.

Family Activity: Sacrifice Beans

Help your kids visualize what it means to be transformed, to see all the good that comes from their sacrifices and small acts of love. 
Here's what you'll need:

• A jar or bowl
• A bag of black beans
• A bag of jelly beans

Place the jar and bag of black beans somewhere visible and accessible (like the dinner table).

Every time someone makes a sacrifice, does a random act of kindness, or does some small loving deed this Lent, have them take a black bean from the bag and place it in the jar.
 
Watch as the jar grows full with all the sacrifice beans throughout Lent! At dinner, each night, let your kids share about some of their sacrifices - and share some of yours with them, too!

Then, on Easter morning, switch out the black beans with jelly beans and let the whole family see the amazing transformation that has taken place in your home!

Today's Gospel

John 9:1-41

Jesus performs the miracle of giving sight to the man born blind. Because Jesus performed this miracle on the Sabbath, the Pharisees called him a “sinner,” but the blind man said, “He is a prophet.” Jesus later reveals to the blind man that He is the Son of Man.
