2. Religious education PREP classes have been canceled for the remainder of the semester. Students should read a chapter a week with parents and complete the assignment at the end of each chapter.
3. We pray for all who have been adversely affected by the coronavirus especially the recently sick, emergency medical personnel, police officers, firefighters, nurses, doctors and hospital employees. We pray for the sick of our parish especially Patricia M. Burgess, Jane Barney Tobin, William Reeves, Mitchel Archer and Robert Miller.
4. We pray for the deceased of our parish especially John Lane, Maurice Murphy, Peter Thomas Fox, Alexei Mahmovudov, Raymond Jimolka, Michael Grandazzo, Gloria Murray, Benito Manuel Veras, Elizabeth Ann Savage, Valerie Modello, William McKenna, Lawrence Corroon, Fr. James Healy and Br. Pius Blandino.
5. Two weeks ago, we mailed you our annual Easter letter with an extra Easter offering envelope and "Catch Up" envelope for your consideration. As you know, we have suspended weekly collections for the past 7 weeks. The cost of managing our parish has not disappeared. Our monthly payroll for 80 employees is staggering and overwhelming. I appeal for your help in the Catch-Up collection! Please return these envelopes in the enclosed self-addressed envelope by mail. If you would like to drop off your donation to the rectory, you may do so by using the Back Door and put it in the mail slot.
6. Our parish also conducts an online giving procedure called “WESHARE” and about 300 families already contribute to the parish this way. Feel free to continue to contribute to the Easter collection and the Catch-Up Collection on “WESHARE”. If interested in making a one-time gift or signing up for weekly “WESHARE” online offerings click here, or you can call Kelly or Julie from the rectory and they will walk you through it for your convenience. 7. The results for the 2020 Cardinal's Appeal in our parish have been generous and impressive. We are over 80% of our goal so far under this difficult crisis. Please prayerfully consider your annual gift to the 2020 Cardinal's Appeal.
8. Resurrection CYO has arranged for partial refunds for families enrolled in our grade 1-2 program, our high school boys program and our spring program.
THANKS to the families who took a portion of their refund and put it generously toward "Resurrection Outreach" to assist needy neighbors in Port Chester.
9. I am recuperating nicely after testing positive for COVID-19 two weeks ago. I am improving with every passing day and should be out of quarantine in a few days. Thank you for your prayers and best wishes.
Msgr. Dwyer
