PRAYER AT THE TIME OF THE PANDEMIC
Lord Jesus, when information overwhelms us and fear overtakes us,
speak to us again those comforting words, "Peace be with you."
Though we cannot be physically close to others,
give us the ability and courage
to love as well as we can,
since "perfect love casts out all fear."
Direct your caring gaze on doctors and nurses,
researchers and safety personnel;
Come to strengthen the sick, the vulnerable,
and comfort those who are grief-stricken.
And when the pandemic has passed,
and this frightening crisis is resolved,
teach us to know You more certainly
as our dearest Friend and our only Hope.
Dear PREP Families:
As you know, there have been some new cases of COVID in some local schools. As a precaution and because the well-being and the safety of
our students is our number one priority, we will be switching to
Remote Virtual Classe
Also, since some families will be traveling for Thanksgiving and Christmas, we will pause our in-person PREP classes until January. The PREP office will be contacting all religious ed families about the new schedule. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation and understanding.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROUS DONATIONS
Last weekend the second collection was dedicated to Resurrection's Outreach principally helping our local neighbors, Caritas of Port Chester and Don Bosco, in need of food and life's basic necessities.
As of October 16th, the Outreach Collection amounted to $25,100.00
which is slightly ahead of last year.
The 2020 Outreach collection has been named in honor of longtime parishioner, John Lane, who died a few months ago.
John was a member of the Outreach Committee since it began
about 15 years ago. He was a compassionate and kind man who contributed his time, talent and treasure to this worthy causes of the Outreach Committee.
John attended meetings, offered opinions, advice and expertise and was very generous to the outreach committee.
May the soul of John Lane Rest in peace.
It is not too late to contribute to Resurrection's important Outreach mission.
If you would like to make a donation, you may drop it in the collection
basket, rectory office or click on
to make an online donation.

Seeking to entrap Jesus in his speech, the hostile and hypocritical Pharisees ask him this dangerous question, “Is it lawful to pay tax to the emperor or not?” Realizing their treacherous motives, Jesus asks for a Roman coin, and pointing to the inscription of Caesar’s, he answers, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, but give to God what is God’s.”
